About Me

I am a harmonica player and teacher and have material available at

Best way to reach me is not here.

I began playing the harmonica about 13 years ago and was obsessed with getting that bluesy sound from the very beginning. I have had some wonderful opportunities along the way. I recently opened for BB King and Robert Cray. Those guys are some of my biggest heroes.

My top 10 biggest influences on the harmonica in order of most influential first are:

William Clarke
Kim Wilson
Little Walter
James Cotton
Sonny Boy Williamson II
George Harmonica Smith
Junior Wells
Big Walter Horton
Paul Delay
Jimmy Reed

I have been influenced by so many modern plays today as well. The harmonica community has so many great people/mentors in it. All you have to do is reach out.

Music, severe weather, my dogs and my wife. I also enjoy working with and meeting new people. I get a kick out of helping others get what they're after musically speaking.

Hey there, Ronnie. Thank you much for adding me. I'd love you hear your band some time! Do you play in Denver?

Ronnie, you get such big sound out of such a small instrument. I showed the video of your One Minute Slow Blues solo at the Portland workshop to several friends who could hardly believe me when I told them that one was not amplified.  Amazing what basement acoustics and an awesome harp player can do when they feel inspired.   I feel like I owe you a painting or at least a dance, lol...
