About Me

Since May 2005, Nate Myers & The Aces have been hosting HARPAPALOOZA, a fundraiser benefiting the American Diabetes Association for Diabetes research. It is a full evening of music featuring harmonica players backed by Nate's band - The Aces. Nate Myers is the MC for the evening and usually only takes the stage for a tune or two to get things started....but this year, after some arm-twisting, we managed to convince Nate to do a full set! There is a silent auction, a 50/50 giveaway, door prizes and more!

HARPAPALOOZA has featured local and regional blues artists from PA, DE, MD & Washington, DC, and hopes to spotlight players from VA, NY, NJ and beyond in the future! Past and current featured performers include:

Steve Guyger
Glenn Moomau
Charlie Knight
"Jimmy Blue" Phipps
Bill "Little Freddie" Frederick
Flat Foot Sam
Tom Martin
Dane Paul Russell
John "Chon" Sawyer
Mike Easton
Andy "Badmouth" Barnhart
Mike Mettalia
Ronnie Ray
James Day
Guy Stasik
Mikey Junior
Dockta D
Howlin' Blue
Nate Myers

Thanks to these performers and volunteers from groups such as the ADA, Tour de Cure and the Blues Society of Central Pennsylvania, HARPAPALOOZA has raised over $6,500 for Diabetes research! And we've only just begun....

Any harmonica players interested in performing at HARPAPALOOZA should send a message to this profile or by emailing harpapalooza@yahoo.com. Most players have been blues musicians but we are looking to expand into country, jazz, folk, rock, etc. GIVE US A SHOUT!!!
