Hi, I'm Steven Troch, Belgian harpplayer, been playing the harmonica for half my life. I'm a diatonic player (not much overblows) but I sometimes mess around with the chromatic.
Played with several bands mostly R&B, giged and recorded with Folk/Ska/Delta blues/RnR bands and although I only live 20Km from Toots Thielemans' house I never had the chance to meet him.
The last 15 years I did gigs in different countries like Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Greece and the U.S., shared the stage with The Slackers, James Harman, Gene Taylor, Ian Siegal, Johnny Moeller, John Primer, The Mooninvaders, Roland Van Campenhout, Vic Ruggeiro, Alex Schultz and many players from the Belgian/Dutch bluesscene.
The last 10 years I've been singing and blowing my harps in a band called "Fried Bourbon". Fried Bourbon is part of the next generation of bluesbands coming from the Lowlands. Always looking for ways to keep the music exciting, vital and evolving.
Harmonica in all its forms: From Wayne Raney to Charley Organaire, from Rhythm Willie to Howard Levy, from Junior Wells to Toots Thielemans, from Kim Wilson to Borrah Minevitch, from Adam Gussow to Franz Chmel, from Stevie Wonder to J.J. Milteau, from Jerry Murrad to Jason Ricci.
Favorites : Big Walter, Little Walter, Sonny Boy II, Gary Primich, William Clarke, Paul Delay, Sonny Boy I, Steve Baker, Joe Filisko
